Developing GVP applications C# or Java
« on: January 05, 2012, 01:28:28 PM »
Hi All

I am relatively new to Genesys and GVP applications and was wondering if there are any preferences in development languages or strong reasons, in relation go GVP development, to choose one language over another.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yours

Ken

GVP consumes VXML, the way that your VXML is build is actually up to you...

Hi Ken,

I assume your question is related to Composer and selection between Java and .NET project. Both languages support the same functionality so it's more about your preferences, experience and preferred technologies in you company (.NET = Windows + .NET + IIS, Java = Tomcat + JDK + Win/Linux/Solaris etc.).

I will prefer .net for you as it is simple to program compare to java and it will be easy for you.

Usually people say that their is not much Difference in JAVA technology and .Net technology , but after i Came through both the Technology , I found a Totally new idea on it but are totally different from each other , I would rather suggest you if you are much Comfortable with making Logic and Coding you should go for JAVA or else Go for .net .
