Genesys Asterisk Integration
« on: June 23, 2011, 04:56:09 AM »
Hi,

We are trying to integrate Asterisk with Genesys. We followed the procedure from the Help Guide but it isnt working and we are not able to make calls from Genesys to Asterisk and vice versa.

The configuration summary in CME is like, we have one Asterisk (SIP) switch with one trunk configured for accessing the other SIP Switch and vice versa.

Tried configuring the Annex: Options, but it seems there is something missing.

Any leads in this regard appreciated.

Thanks,
Sab.

I have followed the same set of steps but there is something still missing.
I suspect some Access code settings, I tried playing with the same but not
happening.

Have configured the Annex options for both the Switches and the resp. Trunks
also for the corresponding Access codes. Do I also need to make use of ERP
for this?

Thanks,
Sab.

No, you don't need ERP. moreover, generally you don't need to configure annex settings of switch. Really configuration is quite simple: you need two trunks (one for voice and one for presence), N agent logins which should be the same number as DNs. And also N DNs. Check option in DNs annex which trunk are you using for presence? Looking into logs are useful as well. If you configuration on Genesys side is good, you'll see subscribe requests from sip server to asterisk. Do you see it?
Do you configure dialplan for presence on asterisk side? i mean 'hint'. it's important.
