GCTI Development Resources
« on: August 01, 2007, 10:38:21 PM »
I am a VB.NET developer, how would I go about learning how to develop using the ActiveX from Genesys? Are there any books, websites, or source code examples ect ect. They don't have to be Visual Basic, any programming language that references the ActiveX Component would suffice.  I've been reading this forum, but its just bits and parts here and there of code.

Thank you for your time.

On the Genesys Support Website download the ActiveX 5.1 Reference guide, it is the most complete.

I signed up but I cannot access any useful information it states I have to be a customer, the developer forum is completely locked out.

I've tried navigating their site but I cannot find anything that would lead me toward learning to develop using their ActiveX component.

  • Their DevZone has a lot of samples but it is up to you to understand how they work. In many cases samples there are excerpts to be used with something else. My suggestion to you is to look at attach-data program available on this forum and learn from it. I found it very useful.

How do I access it? I signed up but there is nothing in there other than random pieces of code. I am actually looking for documentation kind of like what he was referencing to above. How would a new developer get into something like that ?

    Hi,

Genesys allows access to the documentation and sample code to its partners and customers only. If you're interested in development for Genesys I would suggest you to contact Genesys and ask them what steps are necessary to get access to required information sources.
