Filters in CME/DMA
« on: January 04, 2010, 06:08:49 PM »
Hello,

I want to set up filters which look at a particular type of mailing campaign due to start.

The only filter I believe can be used is DNIS (other such as activity are used for other reasons).  It is possible to use multiple DNIS' as part of one filter?  Within CME I can only create 1 record, where the same restriction seems to apply in DMA.

If only 1 filter for each DNIS can be used, then it would mean having to create a statistic for each one such as for calls answered/abandoned/handle time etc.

Thanks,

WA

You only need to create the Filters once - as soon as you start to apply them to Answered, Abandoned, Handle Time you begin to create a series of Statistics for your DMA Layout.

What you might be hinting at is the capability to be able to have multiplie values within the Filter - that sounds more like Key Value Pair (KVP).  I'm not clear how you might be able to apply a KVP to an emailing campaign but I suppose it would be possible, by adding in a Key and a series of Values to each type of mailing campaign.  Consider using your Strategy to apply the values you want and then emulating them as KVP in DMA...

It's true that it is a lot of manual work to get all the Stats you want with each individual Filter but, as with most development, all the hard work is done up front so that you can easily apply the Stats to a new Layout...

HTH?
