Embedding Images in HTML EMail
« on: March 11, 2012, 10:48:56 PM »
Has anyone tried Embedding images in HTML email and sending it across and receiver could view the image properly in all email clients?

I tried different options but the image was visible in only Thunderbird client.

Option1: Base64 encoding. I tried this option of converting the image into Base64 string format and sending it with the email. But when genesys sends , it added "=20" in place of spaces and cut the base64 string into multiple lines and appended "=" at the end of each line. Please find the attachment for the format received.

Option 2: ContentID - This option I couldn't tried because we dont have the control over the mailserver but genesys is sending the mail. So no way of getting the ContentId of the attachment to add to the <IMG src="">.

If anyone has ever tried and succeeded on embedding images in HTML email and sending , always welcome to share their thoughts.

Hi,

Have you tried embedding image that points to URL on your public web server? That should work.

What version of Genesys and especially Email Server Java (ESJ) do you have?
