Running a 3rd-party website on Genesys Agent Desktop
« on: June 19, 2009, 01:33:46 PM »
Hi All,

Main Idea:
We are using Genesys 7.6, and have set up a new tab for accesing a 3rd-party website. The user logs on the site displayed on the new tab, then the website is rigged to display various information by passing values through the url (www.url.com?phone=000099999).

Problem:
User, lets say Ana, logs in station A, website displays "Ana" as the user. Another user, Beth tries to log in to station B to access the website, but sees that there is already an "Ana" logged in. If we just use a normal browser, IE for example, this wouldn't be the case. Since Ana and Beth have different computers, they can both log in as different users at the same time.

It seems, in GAD, the last user to log in the website appears as the (only) user.

A little help anyone? Thanks.

Hi,

Your issue is quite odd as GDesktop runs within Internet Explorer installed on agent's PC. Connection to 3rd-party website should work in the same way so if it works from IE then it should work from GDesktop. Could you provide me with more details about the customization - how do you redirect to 3rd-party website displayed in custom tab? Isn't that redirect done on server side using JSP?
