« on: April 23, 2007, 07:45:58 AM »
Hi, does anyone have a basic sample for voice platform SDK in Java?
I can find one for C# but nothing in Java  :-[

Thanks in advance,
Vic

Have you checked on Genesys Devzone?

Holy molly!!!

I just looked at the devzone and it has quite a few examples! You are right!
Of course, they are for 7.5 and I have 7.2, but it seems to be pretty cool!
Most of them are in C# and not in Java. The only thing I can find in Java is "blocks"...
And I cannot find example of how to use them anywhere... >:(

I tried compiling WARM STANDBY with ANT and get this:

[quote]
[tt]
init:
[mkdir] Created dir: C:\test\Warm Standby for Platform SDK Java\dist

build-java:
[mkdir] Created dir: C:\test\Warm Standby for Platform SDK Java\dist\classes
[javac] Compiling 5 source files to C:\test\Warm Standby for Platform SDK Java\dist\classes

BUILD FAILED
C:\test\Warm Standby for Platform SDK Java\build.xml:67: C:\lib not found.

Total time: 0 seconds
[/tt]

What is this mysterious c:\lib?!!!!

Here is my env setting:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

On a bit related topic: the more I look at it, the more I find the similarity between Universal SDK and ActiveX and TLib. Is it just me or did Genesys decide to clamp down on third-party programming by requiring everyone to order SDK and on top of it register a "connector"? I liked the availibility of ActiveX which allowed us create additional features for existing Genesys without being required to pay additional fees for using their product.

It is like requiring Firefox developers to purchase "Internet Browsing License" for Windows... Can someone please explain to me why Genesys started to require paying extra to use what is already paid for? Am I the only one confused and perturbed? ???

Best regards,
Vic

Vic,

check if your application block is two directories down from the main SDK directory. Like this:

C:\Program Files\GCTI\Platform SDK for Java 7.2\applicationblocks\warmstandby

I bet that you probably copied the block from the web and have stored it somewhere else.
