Mark Anderson is in trouble... :)
« on: January 23, 2007, 12:02:57 PM »
Hey, guys,

take a look here...

http://anderson.dyn.dhs.org/genesys/CHMs/index_chm.htm

It seems like Mark Anderson (whoever it is) has posted Genesys manuals online.
Wow! I thought you could not do it... Is there anything that would prevent me from pretty much putting the whole Genesys documentation online? Is there some sort of legal to keep all of us from posting the manuals?
I really would love to just cut and paste pages of manuals then, because it would save a lot of time paraphrasing it...

Well they aren't exactly cutting edge docs are they? The person involved probably put them there so he/she could access them remotely ( and a long time ago).

...plus they are only the help files from within the various applications/wizards - nothing more than you get with the package.  They're not training material and not handouts from courses, so pretty safe.

I can't actually pull anything from them, as the navigation within them failed, so pretty useless too! ::)

Now, I think it would be a whole different matter if you decided to scan and publish a complte 7.2/7.5 training course handbook...  :-\

I wonder if it is ok to put the document CD online. I mean something like Genesys Developer Guide or is it a paid product?

I guess the easiest thing to do is (no, not ask Genesys) but look at Cisco and their stance on this issue. And then, follow up with Genesys to make sure that they do not bite our heads off  :'(
