Something like general optimal value doesn't exist as it tightly depends on particular deployment. You should take into the account factors like number of interactions, type of requests (Identify Contact vs. Create Interaction etc.), number of requests, UCS DB size and HW sizing of database server etc.

declared the installation default value is 15,000 ms

A data base has 10 GB and is running on a sql server 2005 installed on a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2, with 4GB of memory a processor dual core Xeon 2.6 Ghz and 300 Gb disk in RAID 1

Hi Guillermo,

Personally, I would say that default 15 seconds timeout should be sufficient. If it isn't then I would recommend you to analyse why simple operations like Identify Contact takes so long (313 seconds in the log you posted in other thread). Maybe some index is missing or is too fragmented...
