GVP WatchDog fail to start.
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:57:31 PM »
Hi All:
Currently i have SNMP,EMPS,Common and Apache installed on a Solaris 10 box, and WatchDog cannot start due to the failure of Starting NetMgt, in WatchDog.log file i have noticed that:

<<< Adding log flags >>> *:0x3
[2009/11/12 16:43:08.700] 6    CWatchDog.cpp:2550 C=11:L=1:U=0 _startProcess: CnProcessCreateInstance failed for process [Net
Mgt] with params [/opt/genesys/gvp/cn/config/gvp.ini.tds] [NetMgt]: -2147221473
[2009/11/12 16:43:08.701] 1    CWatchDog.cpp:1915 C=11:L=2:U=0 terminateProcess: Process [name = NetMgt] not active
[2009/11/12 16:43:08.701] 1    SoapServer.cpp:185 C=1:L=2:U=0 WatchDog soapShutdownSignalHandler: thread [1]: rcvd signal = 4
0. Starting shutdown
[2009/11/12 16:43:08.701] 1    SoapServer.cpp:194 C=1:L=2:U=0 WatchDog soapShutdownSignalHandler: thread [1]: Signaling shutd
own
What would be the possible causes of NetMgt fail to start?
i have installed couple times already(with root access) but watchdog still fails for same reason.
someone please help..

only 3 logs have been generated during the installation and starting, daemon.log SCAImport.log and WatchDog.log, i think it doesnt reach to the point where generate NetMgt.log. i uploaded all logs under cn/log.

Thanks

I would use wireshark or tcpdump to see what's going on network connection when NetMgt is trying to start.
That might give you some clues...
