Hi everyone,
I'm interested in how many people want to sit the Genesys 8 Certification Exams, but don't have any decent revision material (apart from the manuals), or access to mock tests. In my spare time, I've prepared a series of interactive revision modules for the Genesys Inbound Voice Exam. There are mock tests on individual subjects, such as the Framework Architecture, DB Server, Stat Server, Licensing, Security, Configuration, Deployment, etc, and I provide recommendations as to the Genesys manuals and TOIs to read up before taking the mock tests.
I know many people who have a few years of experience in Genesys, or their company has put them on the first couple of courses, but they're not actually certified. If your employer won't pay for the exam (how does certification benefit the company, is the usual question), how do you get certified? If you're a contractor with experience can you afford to turn down £xxx per day of income to then spend £xxx per day on a Genesys University course? If you know Genesys fairly well, many of you could easily pass the exam if you had some concise revision material and the chance to sit mock tests. When you're flying through the mock tests, you know you're ready to take the exam for real. At £700 for the exam in the UK, last time I checked, not many of us can afford to resit the exams.
I've given a few colleagues access to the material, and I'm looking to make it more widely available, subject to my work commitments. I'm also looking at what the market is - whether I focus on GVP next, or Routing, or Infomart, for example. If you want to get certified, it's because you're either a contractor looking to get the edge on the competition, or you're a permie looking to make the move, perhaps into contracting. Whatever your motive, there's a benefit to you, but how much is it worth? Do I set up a subscription basis? Do I charge per module? Is there actually a market beyond Inbound Voice? Should I even bother taking this forward?
So, I'm sure there will be a lot of different opinions, but I thought it's time to go public and see if there's any interest. Let me know?
All comments welcome :)
(Victor, please move if I've posted in the wrong forum).
Cheers

Hi Steve,
I'd suggest a free subscription base that gives you the ability to view the index of exams and partials of the actual notes / revision modules, with individual upgrades depending on the subjects that subscribers want to pursue, unlocking one subject at a time for base paid subs / vs all subjects for premium?
The free subscription will also give you a list in case you ever decide to go the pro-active marketing path for your paid subscription.
Thanks,
Neeraj

I wonder if the mighty power of AI can be leveraged to automatically send the links to the related posts with answers. You would think that after dealing with call centers all our lives and enticing our clients to use FAQs we would have something automated by now...
Anyone fancies developing an integration with a Facebook chatbot :)

Nope, against lazy certifications :)

Sure, just reset the password - it gets sent to your email. I can manual reset it if you want to.
