Title: Receive all messages from TServer via SDK
Post by: cavagnaro on April 09, 2012, 08:35:07 PM
Hi guys,
I'm willing to develop an application that should receive all messages from the TServer, something like an application client. So how could I develop something like this?

BTW I have already created an application that monitors each DN I request but would like to track extensions, RP, VQ, anything that is created on the Configuration layer, and not necessarily having to add them to my application.

Thanks!

I can't answer your question but I do have a T-Server client which does what you want ... PM me your email address if you like.

Hi Cav,

It's possible to develop required application using Configuration and Voice Platform SDKs. However, there exist no single T-Server request to achieve required functionality. Your application must retrieve required objects from Genesys Configuration and subscribe for changes. In next step, your application will register the objects with T-Server to receive events related to these.

May I know why you need such application?

Thanks René, that is what I was already thinking but hoped there was a more direct way...
My idea is to beging the develop of an application that will monitor all events on DNs and store all the info on a DB, kinda like a ICON but I'll have the power to modify it as needed...what do you think?

I'm not sure whether development of 'ICON like' application is worth of time and money... Such application must not only monitor the events but do some call tracking to map received information correctly. It's easy for simple scenarios like inbound call but it becomes more complex when e.g. multi-site routing or IVR is involved in the call.

Yes, that is why I need to build a draft and estimate based on that the time and effort/resources needed...
I'm also not very convinced but as it is a request from my heads I have to accomplish at least to see how and what is needed.
Thanks!
