Title: .NET vs Java SDK
Post by: persmen on January 13, 2010, 10:05:42 AM
Hi;

  Our company change callcenter infrastructure to IP/PBX and Genesys. We are currently use genesys activex library for desktop development and some genesys guys said activex library is not provided for new version of Genesys desktop API.

  So thats the question. Which SDK is more comfortable and extendible for desktop development. Actualy does anybody have differences between Java and .Net SDK.

  In during of POC i saw new .net desktop and i like it. Some new functionality and new properties is god like voice recording, queue tracing, customer history etc. Is the java SDK supports also this functionality.

Thanks.

Hi persmen,

Genesys strategy is to support SDKs on both .NET and Java platforms. Of course, there are some exceptions (e.g. Agent Interaction Layer is available for Java only) but it's possible to say that most of SDKs are available for these two platforms.

I would recommend you to download the document "Into to SDKs" that describes all available SDKs and recommended usage of these. You can download the document for Genesys DevZone site.
