Title: CC Pulse refresh
Post by: Phil on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
I have a call centre with a single template created to monitor % Aband calls, current calls ans etc.

Within the call centre there are three PC's attached to OHP's all have the same template displayed (yes it's quite a big call centre).

The problem I have is that the percentage of aband calls are showing different figures on each OHP. The real time in seconds / minutes appears to work fine.

The PC's are never switched off (so the stats reset at the same time) Is there a way of ensuring the template refreshes globally without networking the OHP's? i.e forcing a refresh every 5 seconds.

I hope this makes sense.

There certainly is!:

When building the statistics for your Templates, ensure that they all have the same setting, at "Notification Frequency" within the Properties of each statistic. I believe it is automatically set at 60 seconds I usually change this to 5 seconds (or lower, if required).

I hope this helps?

Just change the refresh rate in CCP :)
You know, there is something that has been really bothering me about CCPulse the only way to get stats running is to make sure that CCP is ALWAYS up... I wonder if there is a way to change that.

Any ideas?

Vic,

Run CCPulse from the StatServer Server... Use every stat you can think of and place it in the startup folder and, even if the Server reboots, bob's your auntie's husband!

I did place an example of the setup on this message board somewhere, some time ago...

Hope this helps?

True, but you see, that IS the problem... It requires that we run CCP ALL the time! I do not understand why it would be necessary considering that StatServer has all the necessary information anyway!

Vic (etal):

The basic construction (and, excuse the pun but constriction) of real ime reporting via CCPulse is timing; You have to set a start time, otherwise the stats would continue to run forever, getting larger every minute. So, the default is to reset the stats at some point usually 00:00. However, with some (24hr) Call Centres, it might be that you need 3 stat resets (every 8 hours). The can be set via Time Profiles in the StatServer which are carried over to the CCPulse Templates. However, when you close the "last" version of CCPulse with that Template, the stats are no longer being gathered.... No fear! As with most Solutions in Genesys, there is an answer;

Within the Stat Server, there is (or could be) an Option called OldStatsRemoveInterval. If this is set to 0, when you exit CCPulse, the stats will reset whenever the default reset time is. For instnace, If you set OldStatsRemoveInterval to 4320 (3 days) then CCPulse will pickup from where the stats left off, within the reset stats that you have previously set. (but be aware that you will need more room on your Server HDD for these stats to continue to be gathered!)

How does this work? Well;

Set your CCPulse templates to reset at the desired default time(s) (default is 00:00).
Update/Add the StatServer Option OldStatsRemoveInterval to 4320 and restart the StatServer.
To test it; Log on to CCPulse, open your Templates, then log out of all CCPulse's running across the Centre (for 24 hours).
The next time you log in to CCPulse, your stats will have been counting "in the background" from the last reset time (00:00 on the day you opened CCPulse).

I *think* that's what we all need?

Let me know if it's not... and I hope this helps!

Hi all,
In regards to the option OldStatsRemoveInterval, if it is not included/listed in the statserver options, does it mean it gets the default value of 3 days? Also, where can I see the reset time? Does it come from the creation of the templates inCCPulse or in the TimeProfile option of the stat server?
Thanks

Elwan,

The reset time is defined by a time profile assigned to the statistic in CCPulse template (the attribute "Interval Type").

OldStatsRemoval defaults to 3 days if the value is not specifically set manually.
3 days can be a nightmare, especially when you have bank holidays!
