Title: How to uninstall Genesys Red Hat packages
Post by: rocio2020 on December 05, 2021, 06:53:25 AM
Hello dears,

Thank you for this very helpful forum, I have a problem when uninstalling some packages on a Red Hat 8, I want to uninstall the LCA and I can't, I try with the commands: remove, erase but I can't.

Example: yum remove Local Control Agent and it appears that the package is not installed but when I run the: top command I see the process running.

Please I need a scoping about it or a correct procedure.

Thanks

Genesys apps prior today are managed as binaries so you cannot managed it via package repo like yum. You can just remove the binaries and probably disable/remove related services from systemctl in case of you're using that.
