I have self service IVR and is there a way i can write scripts to automate my IVR testing

A little bit difficult to set up but works fine

I heard about cyara and is good but feel licensing cost is high. As a first step, i want to automate testing on IVR callflow

Well... That is not a simple task as many possibilities and result evaluations are the most important part exactly.
So, there are not many options actually.

There is the Genesys Workbench 9.0 that is just released. It has some automation tools for IVR, maybe can help you on what you need
