the GVP application don't understand the CED

Hello,
I'm using a Genesys Voice Platform ( v7 ) application for my voice application.
Some times the caller push the buttons, but the application do not receive them, or do not interprete them.
Usually the problem occurs with a mobile phone ( we never had a problem using a home phone )
Did any one had the same problem, or has an idea about the source of the issue ?
          - Can it be a PSTN problem ?
          - Or a PBX problem ?
thank you for your help

What type of GVP integration to the switch and how is it handling DTMF?  Could be anything from a dialogic release to the app you're using if it's using ASR or if it's an IP implementation a whole differently set of questions arise.

Not really sure if Cell vs. home phone should make any difference since it's not the endpoint providing dtmf to the application.

  • hello, here are the answers to your questions :

-we are using a Switch Behind integration.

-We are not using ASR , nor TTS.

-Our Application does not use an IP implementation.

About DTMF , i do not know exactly how it is handled :
the only information i have is in the Switch configuration :

¦                          Modem Trunk Group Info                ¦
    ¦                    Trunk Group Id : 255                          ¦
    ¦                      Trunk Number : 255                          |
    ¦                            Ghost Z + False                          ¦
    ¦                    Ghost Z Feature + Without                    ¦
    ¦                VAD use for Ghost Z + False                      ¦
    ¦                      CSTA routing + False                        ¦
    ¦        Cmf 4600 (DTMF frequencies) + False                  |

hope this helps to resolve the issue

I see you are using an Alcatel OXE
Please post how are you doing the configuration on the PBX, using PCM2 card? e1 one? OSPFX protocol?
Which OXE release are you using?

    Hello,
here are the answers to your questions :
actually, i'm using the Alcatel A4400 OXE switch , release 6.1.1.
Also, yes , we are using the PCM2 cards ( E1).

    thanks

Ok on release 6.1 of OXE there is a patch available for some issues with DTMF recognition on some trunks.
Maybe we can help you more here: www.alcatelunleashed.com an Alcatel forum as your problem seems more an OXE one.
