How to change color for CCP alerts
« on: April 25, 2007, 03:51:39 PM »
Ok, so it has been two days and I still cannot figure out how to change the color of alerts in my CCP. The company that set it up said that it is not covered by our contract, but they would gladly do it for me for 1200 quid. I think it is an outrage that whenever I want to change something in my CCP I have to call them and ask them to do it for me, so I tried very hard to get things done on my own as much I as could.

I was able to have statistics for agent group and queues. I even mastered how to change the size of the font used by CCP. And yet, the color of the alerts continue to refuse to be conquered. I know it can be done. The question is how.

And while we are at it - does anyone have some basic things regarding what to expect form a Genesys sub-contractor? It is our first run in with Genesys and so far all we do is pay them to modify things that seem rather trivial (e.g. creating login for SV and Super SVs, installing and ... verifying(?) ... Configuration Manager connectivity on a new PC, and of course, this "color" thingy.)

Am I the only one who wants his alerts to be in a color that can be easily seen from 5  feet away?

Have you tried Threshold > Set Color Action? If you see CCPulse help about thresholds and Actions you'll find a lot of interesting stuff.
Be carefull on not to overload the CCPulse with many of this as may impact on the performance of the computer where installed.

About the service, actually every company has it's own policies. We teach customer to install simple applications but configure something is another story. Unless customer has taken a training with us we do not give access to them, obvious reason. However to change names and those things may be manageable limiting the access on CME. Creating a login for a SV may required may other configurations as limit access, security, etc. Can't say exactly as i don't know your infrastructure.

Have you taken any training on Genesys?

  • Jesus, 1200 for some colours in ccpulse!
I am in the wrong area of Genesys  :D

If you have access to the CCPulse help documents, you really might want to take a read.

Infact, standard ccpulse build comes with default colours that you can choose, if you cannot see these then they will need adding. Post back and say if you do not have them, i will post a sample script up for you.
