GAX database SQL queries
« on: April 28, 2016, 06:49:04 AM »
Hi all,

A perhaps dumb question but would like to know anyway!
I don't have access to the GAX database at my client's but I was wondering if frequently run SQL queries using GAX is documented anywhere or is there a log file I can see what SQL query a user ran when they performed their usual management operations from the GAX WebUI?

Cheers,
Tomslin

Do not know why audit the SQL query and not the audit data itself, but you can use the DEBUG log to find out requested information. Of course, it decrease the user comfort, possible functions - filtering, sorting, etc.

Thanks Kubig. My idea was to identify a frequently used SQL query and send it to the database admin to execute and collect performance data of the GAX database.
I looked at the GAX application debug logs and I can see what the user is doing but not SQL statements.

Do not see any benefit of that, but it is not my thing :) Try to look at available loggers if there is any related to JDBC

GAX? Why GAX? You won't see what he is doing on CfgServer but only what minimal info he is storing on that DB. You do understand GAX is just like a CME or GA to configure all your Genesys or CIM platform, right? Meaning real job is done by CfgServer always who is who stores the real important data
