Agent Login via Phone Keypad?
« on: April 13, 2016, 10:29:27 PM »
We are using Genesys SIP Server for our ACD and we have some phones that don't have login or logout buttons on them and I was wondering if there's a way for an agent to login to the ACD (Genesys SIP Server) using some form of start code or pound code.  Something like #AgentID# or something?  Sip Server 8.102.x

Only supported on specific sets, do you have those or other sip phones? Check compatibility guide from SIP Server

Yeah the phone we have works unofficially for basic SIP functions like dialing and answering calls, but its not on the list of supported phones for Genesys.  That is why we were hoping to come up with a phone agnostic way to log agents in to extensions.  We have no choice but to use these phones due to customer restrictions unfortunately.

Then no way because the sets tested do have special features designed to support and interact with those ACD features. Common manufacturers don't do such developments.
