All,

Can you please let me know if IVR applications written in Genesys Studio 7.6 be migrated to Genesys Composer? Is there any migration tool available?

Regards,

You should migrate your vxml application from LGVP to the new interpreter NG (Next Generation), because from 8.1.4xx version the LGVP is not supported.  Afterthat you can use them in Composer.
Currently, there is no official tool for automatic migration of this. You can, of course, invite Genesys PS for that or migrate by yourself.

PS: From my point of view, the Composer is not very useful within developing the vxml applications.

You may want to contact Genesys, as far as I know there should be a tool that converts *parts* of the Studio apps into Composer.

Thanks a lot for the prompt response. Can you please share the challenges that you faced while working on composer?

It is just my feel and "habit" - the Composer is generating huge number of unnecessary files, the structure is not properly for our VXML model and as last, we are using own framework for VXML. Personally, I does not like GUI for similiar purposes, because it is still just VXML and the drag-and-drop with prepared built-in blocks is designed for non-technical user from my point of view.
