Config server upgrade without touching schema
« on: July 10, 2014, 02:51:18 PM »
Hi Expterts :)

Guys, need your help here....

We are running with config Server 8.1.200.22 and would like to upgrade to 8.1.300.x

The question in line is....which version of 8.1.3 is not having a dependency of not having to upgrade scheme ? I have referred lot of release notes...none of them contains this info.

So basically am looking for latest CS versions to find the latest one we could upgrade to that does NOT require a DB schema update.

Thanks in advance!

I think that between 8.1.2 and 8.1.3 there was no DB update, you should check this by comparing SQL scripts for both version. But, in general if you want to make upgrade or downgrade to the other major version, the DB update is required in almost case.

As I wrote, check SQL script if there are some changes or try to make upgrade in test or lab platform.
