New to this forum- question GCP7-CIV
« on: February 04, 2013, 04:24:01 AM »
Hello everyone -

I am new to this forum , If my questions are repetitive please point me to the right thread.

I am preparing for GCP7 – System Consultant, Inbound Voice (GCP7-CIV) . I would need some guidance as to what is the best way to tackle this exam.
I already completed FRI training course went through the material twice, I am not planning to take the RRI training but was planning to borrow the material from a friend and go through it myself. Please let me know if that would suffice to clear the exam with good score ?

My experience in Genesys I would say is less than 6 months, I am a Java Developer ( SCJP & SCWCD certified )  but got an opportunity to work on Genesys recently and I want to complete this certification by May'13

You must mean GCP8, as 7 is the old one.

Nothing is impossible, but from experience, unless you have worked and understand the full CTI idea and Framework you are going to have a hard one. Have you installed it for a customer yet? Lab is the easy one, do it on the field and you will learn a lot

From my experience, the best way how to learn Genesys is to take a doc guide and install own lab with whole Genesys (FW,media, reporting, routing,eServices, etc.) or invite professional services to train your team.Exam from Genesys is fine, but not very beneficial and so general.

Yeah we have customers installed already , But I am kind of new to the team.

Getting up to speed as fast as I can. I have good over all understanding of CTI technologies.

yeah, as you said nothing is impossible, Will give my best shot and see how it goes.

Thank you
