Cisco SPA504G with Genesys SIP Server
« on: September 08, 2014, 12:27:05 PM »
Hi all!
Have any one used Cisco SPA504G phone as Genesys SIP Server client? I'll try to setup it and have some problem with 3pcc. If any one have worked example can you share the config and software version ?

Hi,

Not had time to check in detail but I would start by reviewing SIPS configuration option "sip-cti-control"

Agree with genesysguru..your symptom seems to be related with mentioned option "sip-cti-control".

Well guys Thank you of course but I'm no so newbie =) Of course I have a "sip-cti-control=talk,hold". And another phone (Snom, Brio, etc) work with such config.  I start to think what it's the exactly SPA504G problem. But from another side - it's work with Asterisk. So may be this problem in software version incompatible?

Try to better explain if the issue is in SIP signaling or what is the root cause or symptoms of the issue.

Symptoms of the issue looks like the 3pcc is't work - then call arrived on desktop I can't answer on call from agent software. But from phone itself all SIP function is worked.
So whats why I ask for Cisco phone config not the genesys one.

I mean what is the SIP call-flow, if there are some SIP "error" message (4xx,5xx) or on what step the call has failured?

I had same issue with CP-7960G a while ago. Check Genesys software and hardware compatibility list. I think it is known issue for Genesys SW - CISCO HW.

Hi,

In that case we need to see if the SIP NOFITY is getting bounced by Cisco. Would also be worth checking what events it is saying it supports during registration.

cavagnaro,

We gave up on this, as CP-7960 was not in the list of Certified HW endpoints. Recommendation was to use Polycom (IP-320, IP-330).

OK - Snom 710/720 is a good choice as well.

I found solution. The problem in default config for  BroadSoft Package options support. It's disabled.
So after enable talk, hold and conference package options in SIP sections all work as expected.
