Hi guys,
I'm planning a deployment for GVP8...still no training but reading all the documentation I can find...
I have a little question, GVP8 says it needs SIP Server, but does it means it has its own SIP Server (as stated on Deployment Guide) or does it means that it needs Genesys SIP Server (with Tserver facilities)??
If second...why?? If I already have a GVP 7.6 deployed with its IVR Server and PBX Tserver why do would I need a SIP Server?
Thanks for any pointers here...

Cav,
in essence Genesys is pushing for a whole SIP-based solution; the integration between GVP and Framework on one side and the gateway on the other is done via SIP Server, so that basically you get back to having GVP working in behind mode, like we used to go for years with a premise IVR
You can still try to integrate GVP 8 via IVR TServer & CTI connector without SIP Server (so that GVP looks like deployed in network mode) but this is not how GVP 8 was ideally designed for.
Take a look of the GVP Deployment guide and especially of VPS 8 Integration guide.

Yup Fra, already read it all and seems possible but not supported, so if I face any issues I'll probably have issues with support team accepting my requests...
For what I can see I have 2 options:
SIP Server transfer the call to a SIP Routing Point and then invoke GVP
SIP Server transfer the call to GVP and then use a Route Request to transfer to other TServer
Now I have to see how to integrate my Alcatel TServer with SIPServer to do a proper ISCC integration and transfer between them...time to play
