Hi guys,
I'm planning to upgrade the GVP Core components and the EMPS...any points on how to do this? I can't find a procedure for this...
Thanks!

Hi Cav,

I think, and if I'm right you have two ways:
1: follow Chapter 11 from the deployment guide
2: manually: you should uninstall components the reverse order and then install hot fixes

with your windows uninstaller, just care about your ldap db

I'm not a GVP expert would imagine that you stop watchdog first.
$ ps -ef | grep watchdog
to find the processID, then the command below to stop it
$ kill -9 xxxxx
were xxxxx is the processID

:o Well tried with the Core Components  (at lab) and WAF! all configuration gone and gvp.ini was deleted along with all GVP/CN folder...by luck it was lab and have a backup but now it is not letting me reinstall....sucks! I guess will have to do something with the OpenLdap as it was not removed...
Really sucks this update process....using GDT is not always possible as I installed all components by hand first time...
