All possible alarms list in SCI
« on: March 07, 2011, 08:55:45 PM »
Hello,
I know that we have some built in alarm conditions for different genesys applications listed in SCI (Ex: Application Failure, host unavailable, etc).
I have couple of questions:
(a) Apart from the default alarm conditions, if we want to maintain a proactive approach -is there a list of other alarms which needs to be configured for having a better genesys environment? (provided we are using all genesys components)
(b) Also, what are all the possible types of alarms? The ones listed are: Error messages that Solution Control Server, SCI, Configuration checker, Config server generates.  Are there any other error messages generated which can be seen through SCI? Is there any genesys document available on support website?

Thanks

I'm not sure such list exists. And if it does people will tend to keep it private as it's kind of valuable knowledge.

There is no document available but an ZIP archive (Framework 8.0 Combined Log Events Help) containing set of help files (CHM format) that list all event ids supported by each application can be downloaded from the Genesys Support website.

Hello Rene,
Thank you. I was able to download the logevents file and that was something I was looking for. Will look into alarm details and select alarms which might be most useful.

Thanks

You can find it on Genesys web sites with documentation or you can find log files related to the specific component in his install folder in *.lms files

For detailed descriptions of Log Events generated by Genesys components, refer to Framework 8.0 Combined Log Events Help. To access this Help file:

Download the file fr_logevents-help.zip to your local computer.
On your local machine, extract the contents of this file to a new or empty folder.
In this folder, open the file fr_logevents-help.chm.
