« on: October 15, 2008, 10:08:51 AM »
Has anyone seen this error before?

value: 780
Validation error : [CFGUniquenessViolation] , Object [CfgAgent]

supervisor's are getting the error message when attempting to amend agent skill levels via GAD Supervisor. We are running 7.2.

Thanks

My first instinct would be to ask you if you have modified your code and messed up Genesys CME by writing to it directly. If not, then I would turn config server on and see what exactly the values are that your tool is writing, because it is usually either a wrong value, or you have capitalized something you shouldn't have.

Log?

Victor,

Not as far as I am aware! We have 2 GAD servers with a load balancer directing the traffic, one works the other doesn't. This has been the case since we had a failure of both GAD's and they were restarted. Again I am not aware of any changes in code.

As for turning on cfgserver can you ellaborate on this point? config server is on. Did you mean the logging?

Thanks

Does that supervisor person has rights over the object he is trying to modify??

Can you take a look through the configuration server log files? Specifically with reference to the HCA tables? Do you have the HCA option turned on in CME?
EDIT: Actually, can you try to see if you can change the skill in configuration manager?  If you get the same error, then I suspect the HCA tables; I've seen this happen before where updates are written to the hca tables and causes a constraint violation because of duplicate info in those tables, this causes the database transaction to fail thus causing the error you are seeing.  If it works fine in CME then this isn't the problem.

Yes to both, changes work via CME or the second GAD server.

The GAD server is now working after a restart of services, fixed the issue but I still don't know cause.
