Standalone GVP 7.6

Just installed GVP 7.6 using VCS and trying to use it as standalone VCS server.
I don't see much in setting up standalone GVP in the doc.
Could you point me to right direction on documentation if there is?

Am I totally missed setting as a behind-switch configuration?

Well i not complety sure about that, but MAYBE it could helps u.(TO everybody: PLease correct if thsi is not correct .....)


If we talk about Standalone, we mean that u plan not 2 use tserver-ivr, so dependending on ur instalation u can manage this scenario. What i think is that in this case GVP must be in front, so u can pick all calls.


I repeat ... please validate all of this, however i hope this can help u, or al least give u a clue.

What I'm finding is that without iserver client install, GVP 7.6 is looking for sip-ivr-url.
I'm guessing GVP 7.6 standalone probably need sip server.

Not at all...just install GVP, and then make your PBX send the calls to it. If using IPCS for example create an application and create a DID for it in the provisioning application, then if you dial that number from SJPhone for example your application will be played (sip:1234@gvp) so now you can route all 1234 from your PBX to the SIP link with GVP.

I just have Dialogic VCS.
Have you done standalone Dialogic VCS server?

Nop but should be the same idea, provision an application and then send the DNIS to it.

In Standalone GVP with VCS, the DNIS delivery depends of the PBX configuration, when you use Tie-line configuration the DNIS must be delivered by the CTI (yes, you must have Framework (CIM)).  My recommendation is, define a default app and default dnis in the configuration, to test the system.

In our case, Nortel swith doesn't provide us DNIS at the moment.
So I thought I had to use default DNIS set up in CFA and in the provisioning.
But for some reason, default DNIS is not picked up.

And other issue I've found is some internal variables such as transfer-type and transfer-option is not set even if those settings are checked in provisioning.

Is anyone has this issue with 7.6?

Hi,
We are using Avaya with the GVP 7.6 and Dialogic. All the station are configured on the Avaya side.
A call lands on the Avaya VDN and through the Avaya vector and converse-on command the call will be routed to the Skill/hunt group to send the call to the GVP. After the caller is done with the GVP, the call again goes back to Avaya to be routed to the desired VDN/ACD.

In these situations, we do not use the Genesys CTI framework(no router ot T-Server etc.). The following questions I have here are:

1) Should the GVP configured in-the-front or in-the-back of the switch mode?
2) Is I-server needs to be configured along with the Virtual T-Server?

please let me know the steps to be taken to configure the GVP in a stand alone configuration.
