In older version of migration guide document you will find specific notes about 7.x to 7.6 migration. You should look for older version of Documentation Library 7.6.x.

AFAIR the only thing you will have to consider is OCS migration. If you upgrade config server to 7.6 you will have to upgrade OCS. Config server 7.6 save campaigns and calling list in different way than previous versions and this causes older OCS incompability.

Please note that in 7.6 by default new users are not added to Users Access Group - you will have to add them manually. There is a configuration option to change this behavior.

The process to upgrade from one version to another is really the same irrespective of versions.

Upgrade the DBS and CS software
Clone the config database
Run the Config Conversion Wizard (CCW), ensure you use the v7.6 one, not the v8 one
Point Config Server to the new DB instance.

As Borkokrz points out there may be issues with other Genesys products. So I would always recomend that these types of changes are tried on a model before attempting them in a production environment.

Hi guys,
i notice that CPD server is on 7.2 version.

I must upgrade cpd 7,2 to 7.6 after OCS migration to 7.6 version? I was looking on theinteroperatibily guide, but it seems i can not find this tip.

I don't know if it is required to upgrade CPD, but in the release notes of OCS 7.6.x it is written that some enhancement, features or corrections requires CPD Server version 7.6.100.x or later. I can only recommend do upgrade on pre-production environment to test 7.2 and 7.6 interoperability.

Migration Guide, page 234:

If you are upgrading Outbound Contact Server to 7.2 and are also using
CPD Server, then you must also upgrade CPD Server to 7.2 and vice
versa. CPD Server must be of the same release as Outbound Contact
Server. You cannot perform a partial upgrade of these Outbound
Contact components.

I've think CPD upgrade will be necessary :(

thank u very much borkokrz!

i think the upgrade will be mandatory too. In my opinion the guide is not totally clear, or maybe i am confusing ....

In your opinioin CPD upgrade can impact the dialogic performance? I  mean dialogic driver instalation depends on  cpd sw?
