Creating new time profiles in DMA
« on: October 07, 2009, 09:17:12 AM »
Now, this could possibly be one of those questions that should be asked prior to doing something......... *cough*

Creating a new time profile in DMA:

When creating a new time profile, is it normal that it would apply itself to all current active Layout_Templates?

Reason for asking (yes, I have caused a problem!) is that said active Layout_Templates are all set with 'CollectorDefault' but yesterday they seem to have collected the data for both CollectorDefault and the new time profile (making a mess of my daily reports!).

Any thoughts (even if its just 'idiot' after doing something stupid :p)?

Shouldn't unless you modified the CollectorDefault value, you can create as many TimeProfiles as you may need without affecting existing layouts. What does ODS logs tell about this change?

That was my thinking, good to have it confirmed though.
I've raised a call with our support company to see what they think could have caused it!
