it has been well overdue, but we are slowly adding more and more features to this board. As you have already noticed, the default theme for the board has been changed from what is known as "Babylon" to "SMF Default". There are several reasons for this; however, the one and most important one is: being practical.
SMF comes with a lot of wonderful add-on modules that further extend the capabilities of this very well thought out and written software (no, not Genesys, but SMF). Unfortunately, most of these modules' installation scripts support only the default template. Should one choose to use anything but default, then instead of just "click-n-run" one has to copy and paste the necessary script changes. Since most of this is done using PuTTy, it is a very tedious and error-prone process and if possible we would like to avoid this.
Here are some of the really interesting options that were recently added:
- Links menu so all of us can share information about other useful sites out there
- Download section share programs, source code, logs and so on
- Ability to add images into a middle of the post and not just the end
- Chat so all of us can finally get together and chat
Try each one of them out, and if there is a bug or something does not feel right, please do not hesitate to contact admin of this forum or just posting in the "Announcements Scratch Board".
