  • Koki,

    Association is usually used to tell Genesys that there are several other parameters that need to be taken into account when  deciding what this DN belongs to.

    For example, with Contact Server, you would want to have some sort of email address associate with it, or with NEC NEAX (APEX), in some instances you would need to add some PBX-related parameters to help T-Server register this DN with PBX.

    You have to remember that Genesys CTI was developed using Nortel and the cool thing about Nortel is that its M1 link (now discontinued and rotting away) was very straight-forward and easy to use. NEC, Avaya, Hicom and other PBXs are still not very good with their CTI links and in some instances you need to pass additional information to them to make sure that they process T-Server requests for this DN properly.

    In most cases, though, there should not be a need to use it. What are you thinking about using it for?

    Best regards,
    Vic

    Thank you for careful explanation!
    I use it as description.
    For example,
    Association="monitor"
    Association="SV"
    Association="operator"......etc

    Why would you put SV and operator into Association?
    Association is usually used to communicate something to PBX.

    Are you talking about some different association?
