This is a brilliant idea, Tony, but I have one concern:
the forum will be too fragmented. One of the reasons why I find betterinteraction.com difficult to use is because there are three hundred different sub-boards and in most cases, it requires an extensive cross-posting.
I thought that by keeping everything in one big chunk will allow for a much more productive environment.With Windows I can imagine 100 or so groups, but even that will still be stretching it. Genesys CTI is not big enough and usually most of the products are interconnected to some degree, making it difficult to decide what board should be used.
At the beginning I was thinking about breaking it into Sales/Technical Support/Announcement and other animals but considering that Sales would probably have questions better answered by Genesys vendors and Genesys themselves, I thought that a main forum plus something we could play in was sufficient. What do you think?
But, you know, at the end, it does not matter how many boards you have or how you structure it: user participation is the deciding factor. And I think we have been truly lucky to have some of the sharpest minds with a lot of experience behind them watching over this forum. That with the number of people giving advice increasing daily, I think we are on the right path.
If only I could get Pavel to finally stop telling people to switch to Avaya...
(just kidding
)
