Importing CCPulse stats into Excel
« on: March 28, 2007, 11:29:56 AM »
If I want to import CCPulse stats into Excel, I save the view as html from CCPulse, and then either open with or import into Excel.

The problem is that in Excel, any time stats that are less than an hour display wrongly.  For example, a time of 59:14:25 (59 hours, 14 mins and 25 secs) displays correctly but a time of 35:14 in CCPulse (35 mins 14 secs) displays in Excel as 35:14:00 (35 hours, 14 mins, 00 secs).

The Excel time format is evidently looking for an hh:mm:ss format but instead of showing the time as 00:35:14 it shows as 35:14:00, which obviously makes a huge difference to the stats.

I've tried every different time format in Excel with no success.  Is anyone else familiar with this problem?

  • Hi Adam,

I have just exported an agent template to html, then opened it in excel. The time format for me shows correctly.
I have attached the excel file for you to see.

    ccpulse - v7.2
    excel - excel2000

  • Hi Mark

Interesting!  On mine I think it would show as 06:01:00 instead of 00:06:01 etc.

I'm on different versions of both CCPulse and Excel though, versions 7.0 and 2003 respectively.

Any chance you could upload the html export from CCPulse?  I will then be able to see whether it imports correctly into Excel.

  • We're working with ccpulse - v7.1 and excel2003; and we're having the same problem... anyone found a way to correct this issue or do we need to upgrade to v7.2?

Btw I'd like to say that I'm happy to have found this website ;-)

    thx

  • Hi Raindog,

Could you do the export to html and then post on here (you will need to zip it up).
Will have a look at that for you :]

  • It looks to be the way that the statvalue is exported, rather than anything in excel.

pre 7.2 exports 53:04 as 53:04, excel then converts this to a silly time and date format with 53:04:00
7.2 exports it as 00:53:04, which excel likes and accepts.

might be something that you can do in excel with some formulas to convert it back to proper data, but that might be time intensive compared to an upgrade to 7.2.
