How to get a PBX Simulator

hello everyone!

I need a PBX simulator, the same in Genesys's manuals, with functionality of an Avaya Definity ECS switch with ACD functionality and a CTI link.

Infact my installation CD is broken and I can't launch the setup program... >:(

Can any one suggest where can I get a new PBX simulator, possibly for free?

thanks!  ;) ;)

  • Hi,

all you have to do is email your vendor. If for some reason your vendor refuses to re-send you a CD, try contacting sales at genesyslab.com directly. There is no way to get it for free (at least I cannot think of any legal ones as far as I know).

Can someone please add on whether or not Simulator costs extra, or do you get it along with ActiveX Desktop Toolkit?

  • Really?

I wonder if this is because now it is shipped as part of Genesys SDK. If you look for older versions of Genesys (simulator has not changed since two versions ago, I reckon) I think you would get it for free. I did not know it was costing anything before. Now, with Genesys SDK, you have to pay for the original SDK (20,000 USD or so) plus per seat... And of course, there is an adapter... I really wonder if it is even worth it anymore.

It may sound strange that the founder of this forum is questioning the wisdom behind Genesys SDK, but I feel that Genesys is slowly turning some of their most loyal fans away from them. It just does not make sense to start charging for something that was always considered to be part of the framework and did not require any additional license.

I don't mind having GIS cost something extra, but I think platform SDK must be made free and not require any license.
