Outbound Campaing Status

Ok, this is a good one.

Customer is asking for a way to get the campaign status send to an external application.
i mean, somehow read the campaign is unloaded, started, stopped, loaded and get this and using a DLL or EXE send it to a external function as parameter.

I thought on monitoring a DN and as it always receives the events may work but not very good one really.

Is this status stored on some DB?

I read on a Third Party client of OCS API but can't understand it very well. Somebody has done something similar?
