HA Proxy with Meridian Link
« on: January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM »
Hi All, I'm currently setting up HA in the environment and for some reason cannot get TServer top keep its connection to the link. I have setup and configured the proxy and the necessary changes to the TServers but even when I bring up one TServer it just keeps bringing up and down the link. Have any of you had a simular issue.
The proxy logs just show the starting and stoppping of the link.

  • How many HA proxies and how many links do you have?

There are several reasons for this that I can think of right of hand:

    1. Your HA proxy is not configured correctly where it does not connect to the link
    2. Your Mlink is not configured correctly
    3. You only have on MLink OR your MLink release is not 5C.

(I am not sure about 3, but I have this distinct memeory that:
you need two MLinks in order to implement redundancy on Meridian
link needs to be of version 5C, because this is when they started supporting redundancy.

I also looked through Genesys manuals again and it shows that you can only have one HA proxy per link, thus meaning that you need two links in order to implement redundancy on Nortel.

Can you please post your HA proxy log?
